I can't obviously speak for others here, but I can speak from my own experience. As the CUPE NATIONAL rep for the Pink Triangle Committee, allow me to assure you that our National and Provincial President(s) DO take equality issues VERY seriously. Brother Paul Moist and Brother Danny Legere have been more than willing to discuss whatever issues that I felt important as the rep for New Brunswick.

This kind of blog will serve no other purpose than to divide us as a Union.....That is sad.....

I hate to tell you but this corrupt, gangster mob is already quite split. With only the chosen few as being important members.

Corruption is the name of your game and your "organization", as in organized crime.

Harrassment is rampant at the local levels and is destroying members lives.

Wake up!

My Local is so corrupt Because the Executive plays by its own agenda we will be bankrupted by our Presidents self centered ego. There is now legal proceedings and lawsuits because he thinks he's Napoleon. All he had to do is show the members the books but no he worked with the Hospital to get these people fired and now it comes back on all of us. but the membership has there head in the sand still because they wont remove him GGGAWWD!!!

Nothing has changed.
I have recorded evidence of CUPE lying and being in collusion with the employer who brought forth fraudulent information to support their wrongful dismissal.
Unfortunately the Labour Board stated there was no evidence, yet they never allowed a hearing to bring forth the evidence.

In a meeting with the employer and CUPE, the employer admitted that they don't and never admit to their mistakes.

lmao, Can you say corruption, sure you can I knew you could... CUPE National allows their reps and the locals they preside over to outright lie and throw members down the tube in apparent good of the overall health of the herd. Wow, we certainly do not need union representation to do that... Most peops do it on their own. Now I am not saying all unions are bad. But those of you that are and you know who you are.... Cupe in BC... get a grip..

See the following.. below on corruption and do your own research and pass your information along to others that may have questions but are in fear of asking for fear of the employer and in fact their own union.

Corruption is not well defined or well understood. When we think of corruption we tend to think of shady characters exchanging paper bags full of money. But corruption is not just about that. Corruption can be anything where what should be differs from what is. When people who are supposed to be serving others, serve themselves instead - that's corruption. When an organization that is supposed to be advancing the interests of workers begins to sell out those rights, that's corruption. People, who hurt us when their job is to help us, are corrupt. When a people-centered organization becomes a business enterprise, that's a form of corruption. But that's not how we think about corruption. We keep looking for the shady guys doing deals in back alleys.

The corruption we encounter in many organizations involves people who don't look or act shady. Priests, city councilors, police officers, elected politicians, and government bureaucrats - all look like normal people, good people. The things they do look normal too - like normal business dealings or rewards for hard work. They don't look like crooks to us - we have been taught that crooks look and act a certain way. Anyone who doesn't fit the bill can't be bad.

Hey June 19, 2017, anonymous. the employer lies all the time. So do other govt bodies. Some employers that get caught lying repeatedly get so desperate not to be caught lying and embarrassed by their own nefarious actions even institute polices in the workplace against employees recording conversations with management without first telling them and then saying no... lmao... The District of Saanich, in Victoria, BC apparently and is just one such employer who along with the union who could be viewed as being so in bed with the same policy and employer, due to their own corruption. If your union upholds a policy that is unilaterally illegal and or supports it, you more than likely have a corrupt executive to deal with. For your information, you have the right to record any meeting without informing the people you in the meeting with the same as they do.
It really is a troubling world we live. So your choice, either be the sheeple that your employer and your corrupt union want you to be and shut the fuck up and get back to work and only applaud when the employer tells you to do which seems to be the norm for fear of being unemployed usually wins in these choices which is understandable...
